Night Lures for Night Fish

Night Lures for Night Fish

If you are one of the few guys that can brave the cool night skies during the summer, then you are already aware of the heart pounding action of hooking onto a giant bass on reservoirs like Toledo Bend, and only feeling the bend of your rod. No vision, no lights, makes for the ultimate experience. To catch this thrill we use the right tools for the job.

Lately, our catches have been coming on the Bayou Bug and PooDoo Craw flipping shallow haygrass and bushes on Toledo Bend. We have noticed with the high waters, plenty of fish move up at night to feed, then once daylight breaks, they move to their deeper haunts as the bait fish moves out as well.

1/4oz Tungsten weight with a glass bead followed by a flipping hook is the preferred setup lately.

We will keep you posted on Night Fishing as we progress into the summer nights. Stay Tuned....
